  • If you pass a file through QC Kitchen, you will be billed at the end of that day.

    After a file has completed a QC you will be sent a report via email as well as the cost and test performed.

    Our system will collect at the QCs performed by you and charge the card on file.

  • Great question, in order to process your files quickly, correctly and securely we add in a unique identification code (UID) to the filename.

    This is the only thing we do to your file, we just amend the filename.

    In the future we are hoping to not have to amend the filename.

  • Not at the moment, QC Kitchen is SDR only.

  • QC Kitchen is designed to handle hundreds of codecs and containers.

    It can read common codecs like Apple ProRes and Avid DNx as well as broadcast files such as AS11 MXF files

  • Yes, either via our Set Menu or Tasting Menu option, you can choose to test your File or AS11 with Stereo Audio or 5.1 Audio.

    With Set Menu you can have the 6 audio channels embedded or upload an INTERLEAVED WAV file

    Within your AS11 and Metadata you have to state what Audio Configuration you’re using. Common ones are:

    Stereo - EBU R128 R48: 2a

    5.1 - EBU R128 R123:16c

    Here is a handy guide to help you make the correct one, depending on your audio configuration.

  • We check for all major UK broadcast compliance issues including:

    • PSE flashing

    • EBU R128 loudness & peaks

    • Dead pixels

    • Luma/RGB legal range violations

    • Blanking & safe area issues

    • Audio track layout (e.g. EBU R123)

    • AS-11 metadata & timecode structure

  • Most files are scanned and fully reported faster than realtime. This does depend on length and complexity. You’ll receive a detailed, frame-accurate report as soon as it’s complete.

  • After your file is tested and a report is generated your file is deleted from our servers within 15 minutes.

    We do not keep your file for longer than we need it.

    If you need to run the same file through again you have to reupload it.

  • Yes! Whether it’s a TV commercial, promo, or branded short, QC Kitchen helps you meet broadcast standards quickly—especially important for avoiding rejections due to flashing or loudness.

  • No, we only read your file with our QC Software, once its finished running through it will be deleted.

    You aren’t able to modify, share or download the file once it is in our system.

  • Yes, you can upload up to two files at a time, QC Kitchen will work through the files systematically and send back reports when its finished.

  • QC Kitchen operates on a simple pay-per-use or subscription basis. Pricing varies based on file length and feature access.

  • Not at the moment.

    Its a Pay-As-You-Go service currently, there are plans to offer a subscription model in the future for those who want a bulk discount

  • Each scan includes a full automated QC report, detailing any errors or warnings, plus clear pass / fail results or QC flags that need investigation

Freezer

  • Freezer uses a simple, usage-based pricing model. You only pay for the storage you use.

    Our introductory rate is

    £5 per Terabyte Per Month stored

    £0.25 per Gigabyte downloaded

    Custom pricing is available for studios and high-volume users contact us for details.

  • For Freezer you can be billed in 2 ways.

    Freezer Storage: Billed on the 1st of every month, depending on usage:*

    Freezer Download: Billed at the end of the day, depending on usage.

    *As you will have paid £5 to sign up, this will be deducted from your first months invoice (usage dependant)

  • There are not limits to the amount of data you store in Freezer.

    There is a 1TB file limit on upload though

  • You can store any type of file or folder—finished programmes, raw rushes, scripts, project backups, or assets. Freezer preserves your original folder structure so everything stays organised.

  • Yes! Freezer supports both file and folder uploads, maintaining your directory hierarchy exactly as you uploaded it

  • Absolutely. You can browse your stored content directly in the web interface and download any file instantly

  • Yes. Freezer is designed for secure, long-term deep storage.

    Perfect for archiving completed projects, master files, or compliance backups.

  • Yes. All files are encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols. We use AWS infrastructure to ensure enterprise-grade security and redundancy.

  • Currently, access is linked to your user account. Multi-user access and team permission features are coming soon. For now, you can share individual downloads securely.

  • Nope! Freezer is entirely web-based. Upload, browse, and download your files directly from your browser.

    No software or plugins required.
